How to reset the biios password

If it's a "Power up" password this can be removed by briefly dosconnecting the cmos battery from the system board. If it is the "Supervisor" password either send to Lenovo for replacement system board and hard drive (not covered under warranty) or send to me and I will return unlocked :-) Regards Paul.

I have IBM 2628-DRU Think Pad A21m And this PC sets password for BIOS, and I can't use it, because I don't know the password

To reset the BIOS read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Cant remove my bios password on my IBM Thinkpad A21m

Dear Sir,

Getting around the Laptop BIOS password is tricker then the desktop...I don't know if your system would go passed POST or either case, there are few software out there that would allow you to clear the bios.....but you need to do some reading first...

Check out this site: search for this section "Password cracking software" , you will find four software which may help you out (please note that you have to be registered user in order to download the software.

Hello all, I have a IBM A21m with a system password

The Power on Password is set up from the BIOS configuration and the password is stored on an EEPROM chip. Removing the BIOS battery will not reset the BIOS password, there are no backdoor password available.
There is a way to retrieve the password, but it requires a bit of electronic skill and a working computer to achieve this.
