Muddy, foul water came out of the washer as we moved it from one house to another. Could the tube not be draining and what would cause it?

Really sorry about your trouble. I'd check the pump. Remove the hoses from the pump and use a flashlight to look into the suction port. Look for anything clogging the pump (like the occasional stray sock) and check the pump impeller. Make sure there are no broken/missing blades and that the impeller will spin freely. If any blades are broken/missing or if you cannot get the impeller to spin freely, the pump is defective. Hopefully it's just a clogged pump or a jammed impeller. Hope this helped and best wishes.

My washer is not working it begins to spin stops and has the letters LE appearing.

Hi,

This a common problem for all front loaders. Your washer will not drain or work 'cause your outlet filter is clogged or an unusually heavy load. The small door is on the left side front bottom of your washer. Remove the door with a putty knife or thin butter knife inserted in the middle top of the access panel door. Drain the water from the filter housing by pulling the tube out of the clip and unplugging, allow it to run into a bucket while the machine is in spin only mode. This mode is acheived when the washer is first powered on press the spin button until no spin is reached then run. Run in this mode until no water is draining from the tube in the bucket. Keep the tube as low as possible. When water has stopped coming out of the tube turn off the washer and unplug from the wall. This step is important because this resets the fault. Expect some water to come out when you open the filter housing by turning counterclockwise until you can pull the filter from its housing. Clean out your filter, return to housing turning clockwise until seated and recap the tube and place in the holder, refit the cover and plug back into the wall. Fixed. You may also need to lighten the load a bit but I always try full on load anyways. If it fails again just lighten, unplug wait >1 minute then replug and run.

Goodluck..

Yes it very well could be that, when thet were building the near by house did you at some points get dirty/muddy water out of your kitchen/bathroom/shower? if you did the mud and grit is blocked in the filter scrrens on the back of washer were inlet hoses connect to,by removing the hoses and cleaning those screens that may fix it,if not the water inlet valve would need to be replaced

When my washer in in the rinse cycle the water flows out from the top of the hose. I have used drain opener to unclog the drain. This happens every time I use the washing machine. The washer is only a year...

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France Tues afternoon 15:00,

Couple of questions -
does the outlet pipe from the washer go into the (house) drain pipe fairly high up, near the top of the washer or is it low down? It should be maybe 1 metre above the floor.
If it is at the correct height, are you absolutely certain that the u-tube in the house plumbing is clear?

If the outlet pipe is high and the u-tube is clear it is possible (you do not say what make and model it is) that the house plumbing pipe size is not sufficient for the speed and amount of water that this (new) machine delivers over your others.
However-
I really would suspect a partially blocked u-tube because, without taking the u-tube to pieces to check, 'drain opener' will not necessarily clear absolutely everything- honest ;-0)

Good luck,

John C

Water fill control

it overflows from the tub then:
This can either be a fault in the fill sense tube( small tube connected to the bottom on the outer tub from the sensor at or near the top of the washer housing ) becoming blocked or broken or a fault with the sensor itself. There is a mechanical adjustment for the level but it is a little fiddly to get the adjustment just right.

If it overfills from the drain hose:
then either the drain hose is too low and the water siphons out before it reaches the maximum or there is a tight seal at the drain hose to house drain port which will cause all the water to siphon out, this can also be caused by a drain hose being pushed too far down the house drain port.

My washer will not stop filling with water.

If it overflows from the tub then:
This can either be a fault in the fill sense tube( small tube connected to the bottom on the outer tub from the sensor at or near the top of the washer housing ) becoming blocked or broken or a fault with the sensor itself. This is inside of the machine and the lower cabinet will have to be opened to see it.

There should be two screws along the lower front edge of the washer cabinet. Remove these and the front of the cabinet will lift out towards you at a 45 degree angle an then unlatch. Unplug from power before opening the cabinet.

If it overfills from the drain hose:
then either the drain hose is too low and the water siphons out before it reaches the maximum or there is a tight seal at the drain hose to house drain port which will cause all the water to siphon out.
