Get a replacement Foot Control from a Husqvarna/Viking Dealer....select your country/region from this page and use the Dealer or Store Finder, or just contact the Head Office to find one nearby.
Expect this to be an expensive mistake.

Get a replacement cleaning lady from the phone book , local paper or better still...one recommended by a friend (!!)

When this happens unplug the foot pedal and see if it stops. That would suggest it is in the pedal. Does the machine try to turn when this happens?

My older husky sewing machine runs on a couple of threads before stoping each time, it is not the foot peddle.

...most likely it is the foot control pedal. Try your on another machine perhaps. The control pedal is the only way power can get to the motor ....

I am trying to figure out if I have a zipper foot for my Husqvarna Freesia 415 sewing machine. They are labled by letter and I have A B C D E and J.

A quick check of a random Husky owner's manual cross references the letter to a part number in the appendix. Alternatively call Husky and get the info.

Problem with a husky lock 340 serger. Wheel on right very stiff and foot pedal doesn't engage machine. Just makes a power noise but doesn't move the machine? What can I do.

My Bernette did exactly the same thing as you describe and when I took it to the mechanic there was a gear right inside that had split on the main drive path. It was a nylon gear and it had cracked right through the middle - my machine was about 12 years old at the time.

After one store advised I junk the machine, I then priced the part from Bernina head office, spoke to another mechanic and he was able to send my machine to another mechanic he knew who could pull the thing apart quicker because he'd done the repair before. I was warned it would cost $270-350 but I love the machine so said go ahead.

I'd suggest you take your husky to a local husky dealer for a quote on this, it does sound similar.

The light comes on but when you push down on the foot pedal nothing happens. There were no problems with the machine on the prior day.

check your cords and replug them in on the foot control and on the machine. It may be that the foot control has been damaged and may need replacement, some machine have fuses to protect them which could be a simple replacement of a fuse.

Husky 145 stopped in the middle of sewing. Seems as if the pedal is not working. Electrical current is still there because the sewing light is on.

When you press on the foot control if there is no sound from the motor then you either have a foot control problem or motor problem which will mean a shop repair to check it out

Take the machine to an independent dealer and let him show you it works before you buy it.
