Question about Sony DVP-NS325 Multi-disc DVD Player
I have a Sony DVP-NS325. Recently, the player quit working. Every time I try to play a dvd, it gives the error "Cannot read disc" and after taking the cover off, I found that the disc never starts to spin as it should. I have fiddled with the tray a bit, thinking that it may be slightly misplaced, but to no avail. I have seen a few threads in other forums that claim there have been numerous problems with this player, but I would still like to get it working again if possible. Once in a while, the player will still read a disc, but it is ridiculous to spend an hour and above to play one dvd.
Before adjusting anything, clean the lens using a Q-Tip (no chemicals!). This fixes most disk read errors...if it still doesn't read the disk, the laser may be getting too weak, or the laser is out of alignment.

There is some problems with your optical lens that is why not spinning or reading data on disc. before change the lens adjust first the two trimmer for DVD and CD adjustment for laser beam.
