'96 Ford Ranger. Swapping back OEM AM/FM/Cassette

Okay, I'll bite... '96 Ford Ranger. Swapping back in OEM radio. Old Pyle POS crapped out. Salvage place sold me an OEM for a '97 Explorer... said it work. New radio has a number on the side F57F-19B165-CG. I have the 8 pin connector figured out and soldered in. I have 12 volts, GND, display... just no speakers yet. Question: What wires go where from the 16 pin harness?? Some obviously go to an optional CD player. I'm just interested in what goes to which speaker. I just listen to FM and AM talk, and factory radios seem to have better AM tuning ability than aftermarket things anyway. No big hurry. I only drive the truck 2,000 miles a year. Thank you. Scott

My old unit stopped working;(worked perfect for many years) so I replaced with a new same model and I have bad interference and FM static. Sometimes the FM station overrides the express radio and all you...

The very first XM radios, (SkyFi2, MyFi, Roady2) up until they were put in red boxes, had a VERY strong FM transmitter, so strong, that when Sirius was their enemy, they complained to the FCC and they made the FM transmitters real weaklings. So unless you have one of the first two batches of XM radios, the FM transmitters now are real junk and you're better off using an AUX input on the radio or a cassette tape adapter. Okay? Thanks.

I have a Pyle PLR14MP that I am installing in my 1975 Ford F100 - There is only one wire to the ignition switch on the radio whereas my old radio had two wires. There is a green wire, a blue wire, a back...

The other wires are for display brightness and memory. In old OEM installations, there is only one wire for each speaker. The other wire is the chassis or body.

The 2.3 (vin A) cylinder head can be purchassed at a salvage yard for around $200 used.
or you can try a 'speed shop' (they rebuild heads) in the yellow pages.
