Question about Philips 42PF9631D 42 in. Plasma Television
I just had the same problem. I downloaded a service manual and give this a try
. Turn on your TV and with the remote do the following
Key in the code “123654” via the standard RC transmitter. This get you into a customer service mode and you can check your error codes.
After I got out this mode my TV worked. I think the TV was stuck in protection mode for some reason and by entering the service menu's it reset it.
I then entered the SAM Mode
How to Activate SAM
Via a standard RC transmitter: key in the code “062596”
directly followed by the “INFO” button. After activating SAM
with this method a service warning will appear on the screen,
you can continue by pressing the red button on the RC.
It will give you more info.
The TV worked fine after I exited these menu's.
I also did a software update as per the user manual and the TV seems to be working fine again.
Hope this helps

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
