You don't need a CD drive to download and installl the printer driver. Just download the driver file to your computer and then run and install it.
You can download the driver for your printer from LEXMARK. Start here:
http://support.lexmark.com/index?page=home&userlocale=EN_US&locale=en&segment=SUPPORT
Select your printer and then, in the next page, click on the 'Downloads" tab.
Select the file with the driver appropriate to your OS to download it to your computer. Then install the driver.
The driver is the same for 3500-4000 series Lexmark printers, so if your printer model is not listed, select another printer within the 3500-4000 series (for instance X3550 model) and download the driver.
