My kodak 3x optical aspheric lens is broken the pictures come out blurry and alot of contrast . how do i fix it?

If your lens is broken, then there is no other alternative solution than to get a new lens for the camera. Because the Light for the picture has to come through the Lens which focuses it. If it is broken or malfunctioning, you will need to put in a new lens. Thank you

Lens malfunction, "Lens error, restart

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ... Unfortunately, many cameras that fall prey to this can only be corrected by professional repair. But, here are some things that you can do that may correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try.

On my camera when i turn it on the lens keeps opening and closing and on my screen it says "turn off and on again" and when i do that the lens keeps opening and closing and it doesn't work. Can you help me...

This is the most common problem with dig cameras. The reason being that there are tiny gears inside the lens assembly, that operate it. When a tooth gets broken off, or some dirt, lint, sand, etc., gets in the lens assembly, a gear can get jammed. When this happens, the camera cannot "initialize" and be ready to take pictures. There is an excellent blog about this problem. It is listed under the lens error category, but it applies to all lens malfunctions, and the one you're having. Here it is:
Try their suggestions. They say about 50% of the cameras can be fixed trying their free fixes. If nothing works for you, and you decide to have it repaired, get an estimate first. The cost of repair can easily exceed the cost of a new camera. Good luck, and hope this helps!

Camera displays "Lens erros, restart camera"

I had this happen to my camera. The lens has malfunctioned. You will have to buy a new camera, or they might possibly allow you to send the camera in for a fix, but there is nothing you should or can try.

Good Luck

Washed camera and lens goes out but screen says lens error

OK, this is lens mechanism failuer due to water damage. the core micro board will start to malfunction in time. this repair will need to be initiated by a Nikon tech. you will need to contact the manufacture for a repair ticket and the nearest location of a repair terminal as well. the actual lens mechanism you will need is not available to the public and, the board as well.

Canon digital IXUS 60. Lens does not move in and out. Camera turns on but nothing happens. Unable to take photographs. Error message:- Lens error restart camera. Restarting camera does not resolve problem

I'm guessing that the lens is stuck. Either the cover refuses to open because something is wedged in or a mechanical malfunction. The camera won't work if the lens does not come out a bit. Take a look at the lens and examine why the cover doesn't open up. If it is a mechanical malfunction (meaning internal problem), might as well have it fixed. Be careful and keep your fingers off the lens. You may touch the cover but hands off the lens. Hope this helps.
