Cant open new phone

Ok just received my sciphone and I can not open it to put in my sim card and battery. I know that the quick start shows the back to be a two piece but mine is not it is all one piece I dont see any cracks or places to separate the back from the front so Im lost. Please I want to play with my new phone and now I cant even get started.

hi julie gale first take your battery out of the phone. Next YOU want to take the sim card out of your phone, This is a system reboot. Now put the Sim card back into your phone. Next put the battery back in your phone. Also you didn't tell me the wireless carrier. Next thing you will need to do is reprogram your phone. Your only updating the phone's prefer roaming list on the phone this is updating your network and cell tower signal. Ok hope this help.

Go to this website www.i9forum.co.uk register and check the forum out for a solution, I've had a quick look but its mainly about mms & gprs. If this is what your after the settings the instructions are there on how to set it up.
I'm with Telstra 3g and have the new sciphone i9 3gs and it works great.

you need to but a micro sd card (the bigger the better) format it and put it in your sciphone. then goto FILE then memory card and create folders ie mp3....video....games..... ebook. then remove your micro card and put it in your computer and transfer your media that way....gary

My sciphone i68 says emergency calls only when i try to use it

We had the same problem on both of our new sciphones. After long hours of research we finally found an easy solution to it so hope this helps.

1) Shut down your phone completely (you will know because a red sign will come up on your phone and you have to confirm that you are shutting it down).

2) Take our your battery and then your sim card

3) Make sure that your sim card is in the right way. (It has to be on the highest slot, not the one closest to the bottomof the phone, and the metal plates have to be facing down, or towards the phone).

4) Reinsert your battery and then start your phone up again

5) Go to restore factory settings and plug in the code 1122 when it asks for one. NOTE: Your phone will reboot, and when it turns on it should be okay.

We tried everything and this is the only thing that worked. We had t-mobile sim cards for both phones and it worked fine. Good luck!
