Windows should have driver for your network card. Please try uninstalling network card driver then let windows reinstall it automatically. If the drive can't still be found you may save the driver to USB flash drive or burn it in CD/DVD then install to your PC..
For windows XP, dowload driver from http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?ref=step&st=browse&platform=10022&model=10807&os=10406&type=10095
For windows Vista download driver from http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?ref=step&st=browse&platform=10022&model=10807&os=10954&type=10095
