Reset xerox DC3535 after changing belts

My xerox DC 3535 will not run Black developer, transfer belt, second bias transfer roll and transfer belt cleaner need to be replaced. Replaced is not a problem, resetting the click counter is.

I also have a DC2045 that will not run because of an auger problem.

No unfortunatly. That is done in the diagnostic mode on the 3535, and that is propritary sofware where the diagnostics has to be accessed with a laptop that has that software loaded onto it.
There are some resets you can do, but they wipe out all the NVM inforamtion. Once those numbers reach a certain level, they have to be reset via a laptop.
Now that being said, once it is accessed, the service rep CAN change that threshold to a much much higher number so you can run the parts to failure, which is more realistic.
Those parts are very easy to replace. And can be purchased from a business called The Parts Drop, Google that business and talk to Britt. No I do not work there, but have dealt with them for years and they are very professional and exceptionally honest.

SOURCE: How do i reset the second bias transfer roller on a Xerox 3535

I am afraid you will have to call in a qulified xerox technitian to reset the second bais transfer roll. It need to be done via a laptop connected to the m/c. The laptop needs to have a special program which only xerox techs. have in there possetion.

What does a second transfer bias roll do

It simply drives the transfer belt which is required to lay the image down on the paper.

Depending on which Xerox product you have would depend on whether a service tech is required to replace one that has failed or whether it is a roller that can be easily replaced by a non tech saavy individual.

I hope this helps...

Need to replace transfer belt cleaner and 2nd bias transfer roll

Both are probably still good but the HFSI (High Frequency Service Item) counter needs to be reset. Unless something has changed with them that has to be done with the service laptop hooked to machine with a serial cable and using M24 diagnostics.

The Transfer belt home didn't reach the home sensor.

First, check for a damaged belt 604K20891. It's expensive, so be careful. Open the right side access door and slide it out the right side. Look for damage on the belt. (If so, figure out what damaged it so the next belt doesn't suffer the same fate)

Second, check the belt and the chassis for a toner mess. You might have a failing developer spraying toner on sensors.

Third, it gets complicated here, so you would want a technician to take it from here.
