Question about Apple MacBook Air
OSX Version 10.5.7 i cant shut down my macbook....always restart when i shut it down..i have to press power bottom few seconds to shut it down..
Try going into Utilities folder and open Disk Utility and repair disk permissions. That fixes a number of bizarre issues in Mac.

Shut down your computer and wait 10 seconds.
Press the power button.
Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold down the Shift key.
You should press the Shift key as soon as possible after you hear the startup tone, but not before.
Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple logo and progress indicator (spinning gear).
