You need 19-Volt 65-Watt Laptop AC Adapter.

Here's the picture

Here's the link from amazon

If it falls off...you need to have it checked by a laptop technician. The power socket might need to be replaced.

I have an Acer Aspire one NAV50 travelmate adapter but I don't have a plug. Is there anyway I can get the plug separately?

Are you talking about the cord that goes from the adapter to the wall? If so, any electronics supply store like Radio Shack should be able to source it. If not you can try DIGIKEY.com.

Your laptop is equipped with wireless already, see here:

LINK to specs

If not, use any of the USB ports and if it prompts you for software you would need to get the driver onto a USB memory card to install it.

Power button intermittant travelmate 2300 series laptop brand new power pack tried both power and charging lights on suspect switch but where can i get said power switch and who is agent in worthing area...

I don't know who has them in the Worthing area, but I have seen them listed on Ebay. (Not advertising for Ebay)
They list as an ON/OFF Switch Assembly, for the Acer Travelmate 2300. A small circuit board.
Proper name from Acer is just - Switch Board.

(Rectangular in shape, would be the easiest way to describe the circuit board. Has more than just the Power On switch. Also has the Launch Key buttons, that are next to the Power On button)

Two screws attach the board, and one end plugs into the motherboard. There are other components that need to be removed first.

1.Remove the AC adapter, (Charger), if plugged in. Remove the Battery. There must be no electrical sources for the laptop.

2.Buy, and wear an ESD wrist s-trap. (Censored word, s-trap)
Connect the alligator clip to a good ground source.
(I use an empty desktop computer case, and connect to the metal frame)
Average cost is $6 USD, and can be found in a multitude of places. (Radio Shack is one)

Electro Static Discharge
Your body carries Static. Static electricity will fry out the delicate hardware components inside a computer. You may not even see it, or feel it.
An ESD wrist s-trap helps to relieve your body of static.

3.The cover that goes over the Power On button switch, and Status Indicator lights, pops off.

It comes straight up. I use a flat tip Jewelers screwdriver, and ease up the side, Opposite of the Power On button.
As it comes up insert a plastic letter opener, guitar pick, or similar device to keep the gap open that you have created.

Use the screwdriver to go along the bottom edge of the strip, and head towards the Power On button side. (Bottom edge faces keyboard)

This shows the Switch Board with the cover removed,

2002 IBM ThinkPad T23 battery problems/won't run without power

It doesn't look to me that you're doing anything wrong there.
Was there a specific installation requirement for the battery?

I recently changed my battery on my IBM/Lenovo and all that was necessary, was to let it charge fully before usage.

If you say your battery was charged for "a few days", then I assume there is something wrong with the battery. Next to your taskbar you should see a battery symbol. Double-click on it and you should see the Thinkpad Power Manager. If there is a tab called "Battery Information", see if that gives you more details. Look at the Manufacturing date!

If you really can't run the laptop without being connected to a power source, I would definitely return the battery or at least call the vendor. If your computer is running fine otherwise, there should be nothing wrong with the machine itself.

If you can take a screenshot of that battery information window adn post it here, I am happy to look at it.

PS:
You're doing the right things when you try to use the laptop without an external power source - that's the whole idea, isn't it?

Acer laptop power problem

Does not switch on from mains.?????????????
PLEASE EXPLAIN..........

Is the laptop lights not coming on when you plug it in? If not refer to the following.

Are you sure that your power plug has not broken loose. You will have to take the laptop apart to find this out. Sometimes the solder joint will come loose. Do not take this laptop apart unless you know what you are doing. The manual can give you step by step directions sometimes. It is not easy to take it apart without breaking the little things. If you do take it apart, take pictures of every step and take notes and even draw picture so you will know where everything goes. You can touch the plug where it is soldered and re-solder the plug. Please be careful. This takes someone with good solder skills to do.
