Ok, so if you are like me then you probably thought removing the three tiny screws from either side of the strap, and cutting segments of the strap and re-screwing the clasps back was going to do it. Unfortunately one realises that the clasps do not slacken to let the rubber straps out even after the screws are off. The critical point is to get the side pins out which is no simple feat. Getting the pins out releases the clasps and the rubber strap.
To get the pins out, use a wire cutter to cut down a paper clip to a length of 1 .5 cms or so. Hold this with a pair of tweezers along the axis of the pins while you hammer down in the direction of the small arrow inscribed on the metal clasp. With persistence a part of the pin comes out from the other end and you can then pull it out completely with a pair of pliers.
Removing the two pins with release the ends of the rubber straps. cut away segments as required while trying on so that you dont cut too many. Make sure you cut the same number of segments on each side. I had to cut three from each side since I have very thin wrists.
Now put the rubber strap back hold the clasps in position and push the pin back in place. Put the screws back and you should be in business.
It sounds complicated but is quite simple if someone shows you how....which I hope I have been able to.

I need a manual for a philippe starck ph 1065 watch.

You can get instructions for your watch from the Fossil web site.

Go to "fossil.com", go to the bottom of the page and you will see a
menu, click on "customer care", and then look under "Product Info" on
the left and you will see "watch instructions"

Click on this and a list of diagrams and watch descriptions will appear. Put
your cursor over any of the descriptions and a diagram of the watch face will
appear. Search the list until yours appears and download.

Can't set the time or adjust the ******** crystal Starck PH-1100

Take a VERY close look at yor watch and you should notice a few tiny buttons. One of them should correspond to MODE, another to SET and so on- depends on how many your watch has.
Use a pin or a needle to push them and find out the settings procedure.
If you cant find buttons on the case sides, examine case back. They can be hidden between the lugs, so, the strap should be taken off.
Remember- there are no watches in existance without adjustment features. Even atomic clock needs to be adjusted after a few million years of work:))

Good luck.

Setting time & date on Philippe Starck Fossile watch ph1080

hold the left, bottom button (marked ....) for a few seconds....then press the top right button (marked with 1 dot) to change between the hour, minute, date etc. use the bottom right button to advance the flashing number, and when finished setting time and date, use the bottom left button to stop the numbers flashing and return the watch to normal. hope this helps, this is also how to change the date for the other question asker (works on 2 other starck/fossil watches i have and i assume the controls are the same).

How to adjust the watch strap

I just bought the o-ring watch by Starck, and it looks to have the same style of strap. If you look on the side of the clasp, you will see a pin on both ends. You have to remove these retention pins first (which may require tools that are unavailable to you). First, stabilize the watch on its side on a soft mat - I used the back of a mouse pad. Then, use a thin, stiff piece of metal tool to push the pins out slightly. I used a crafting tool. Once the pin sticks out enough, you can use a fine set of pliers to pull them the rest of the way out. (If this does not make much sense at this point, you may be best off going to watch shop.) Once you remove the pins, the clasp can be removed from the strap simply by lifting the clamp. You then trim the strap with a pair of sharp scissors to the appropriate length - make sure you see exactly what the end looks like, because the shortened strap will need to have the same apperance. After trimming, reclamp the clasp onto the strap, and reinsert the pin. You may need a small hammer to get the pins seated completely. Then, you're done. So obviously intuitive, why would anyone need directions, right? Honestly, Fossil did not make this one easy at all. Kind of irritating.
