Vista audio setup
BODY,.aolmailheader {font-size:10pt; color:black; font-family:Arial;} a.aolmailheader:link {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} a.aolmailheader:visited {color:magenta; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} a.aolmailheader:active {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} a.aolmailheader:hover {color:blue; text-decoration:underline; font-weight:normal;} TEST SPEAKERS Right click on speaker icon in System Tray Select "Playback Devices" The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible Right click on the volume graph and click "Test" Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC Click "Recording" tab. Set required mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties" In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click Apply Click "Levels" tab and set sliders to approx 80% ( adjust to suit later)
Click OK
Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays

Once you have set your webcam mic to default on your computer and it is working you have to set it as the default device to any chat program you want to use it in
MSN
Open menu > Tools > Audio and video setup - set mic > Next - set webcam > Finish

Yahoo Messenger
Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'no proxies' or 'connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have
make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes > Apply > OK Click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Calling and Audio Set mic and speakers to show Default equipment Run call up assistant to test audio equipment > Apply > OK
Skype

  1. Start Skype.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  3. In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Audio Settings.
  4. Select your webcam device as the default microphone.
  5. In the navigation pane of the Skype Options window, click Video Settings.
  6. Select your webcam device as the default Webcam.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Test LifeCam by making a Skype test call.

Sorry, that will not work. Typically, it is not possible to use one manufacturers transmitter with another manufacturers receiver. The two manufacturers use different tone-key squelch, different noise reduction, and different companding schemes.

My microphone used to work,now it doesn't.


Check the PC with an external microphone and if this works then the internal mic can be faulty and should be replaced.
Also open the audio settings and check the level of the microphone settings .
you can test and confirm the working of the microphone.

GigaWARE USB microphone doesn't work with PC Windows 10. Why don't drivers come with the product?


the microphone might not need usb drivers to work
click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it or select audio from the microphone drop down list make sure you have the right one selected and in the volume box make sure the microphone box has a tick in it or select the voice tab and make sure that you have the right media selected also select volume make sure the box for microphone has a tick in it

its probably a wire came loose, unscrew the head (airguard) then you should h ave 2 tiny screws that hold the switch in place, carefully slide it forward and as you do push the main cord for the amp plug in along with it as you push it through,, check those wires to be sure the connection hasn't come loose
