the memory card is not the problem. everything but these files work on the camera but they do work n the computer. i was thinking there may be some kind of internal converter in the i85 that allows you to play these files. (not sure though)

The movie file does play on the computer so the file is fine and the Demo (star trek) ile does play on the camera.. However it will not recognize my movie files. the mp3, pictures, text and tour guide all work fine. Since there is no converter the only thing i can think of is file placement but I have the PMP file set up the same as the mp3, text, and other files on the card and on the camera. It asked me if i want the open or resume when i choose pmp from menue just like it should but when i try to open or resume it will not regognize the movie file only the demo

Hi Consuelo,

If you cannot access the files stored in memory card, try transferring files onto a computer , and then opening them.

If that does not work, test camera with a different memory card, the card may be faulty.

Id the card is defective, you may not be able ot open the pictures, and some file may be lost.
In that case, all you can do is trying one of the software available below:

Digital Photo Recovery software for Digital Picture Recovery

The I85 will play any regular movie file taken with the camera without the aid of any converter.

If the movie is a valid file, it will be displayed like a picture, showing the start of the movie. When you click on the file the camera will start playing.

If files are not played on camera and computer, then either files are corrupted, or they are not movie files.

If files are played on camera, but not on computer instead, then you may need to download codec softeare on the computer, in that case it will be useful knowing file extension.

The I85 supports many media file, but may not play certain formats because of the compression used.

The converter is used to convert formats like SMI, I will look for more info on supported formats.

Undelet my samsung i85 camera

Hello. If you have the files on your computer you should be able to connect the camera and open my computer if using windows. The camera should show up as a removeable drive such E: or another letter. If it does you can copy, move, or send files from thier location to the drive letter of your camera. You should choose to copy or send them because moving them will remove them from your computer.

Samsung i85 camera. Tried to download music onto camera. Connected camera to PC. Went into explore and made new folder for MP3 under "removables" drive . Although shows music in folder on PC...

i had the same problem it was stressing me out... 1st you must go into "my computer", click on "removable disk", there should be a file named "DCIM" (yours might be different), where you see this file create a NEW file on that same pg named "MP3". now when you go to download songs just download them straight to that file. hope that helps

Boot failure

1st go to Ihttp://www.shamrockman.net/ and dload the version you want to run. My PMP shows 1.23 but I couldn't find that version so I now run 1.24.. Save the dloads in a new folder on your computer.. There should be (7) items that dload to your computer.

*** I have found that just copying the files to your PMP Player will NOT work.***

I had to delete ALL (7) of the system files and folders.
1.) BMP folder
2.) etc folder
3.) system file
4.) (4) "Version-[0x..... " files..

So there were (7) items I had to delete. Once deleted go to the folder you saved the dloads to. I had to click and drag each item to the drive your PMP player is connected to. Once all (7) items have been placed on your PMP player disconnect it, turn off the power, wait a minute and turn it back on. These steps worked PERFECTLY for me. Please let me know in this forum if this helps..

Thanks..

Uploading mp3's

I think you will find that the file you have created has to be called MP3 otherwise the camera doesn't recognise it.
