Question about Iomega Computers & Internet
My i-omega 80-GB HDD is making a clicking sound when I plug it in...,then nothing. The power light is on, my PC does not see the device. It has worked well until this morning. Lots of family photos on it
Connect the Hard Drive and restart the Computer. If it's not detected then open the Device Manager, click on the View menu and select "Show hidden devices".
Next, click on the plus sign next to the "Disk drives" and uninstall all the devices that you know are not present. Uninstall all the devices listed under the "Storage Volumes" and the "Universal serial bus controllers". Avoid all the reboot prompt until you're done uninstalling all the devices. Also make sure that the Device Manager doesn't have any exclamation mark beside any devices.
After uninstalling all the devices, restart the Computer with the Hard Drive connected.
