I changed the battery in my 1999 vw beetle and now I need a code for my radio and I do not have a code or know how to enter the code

Phone the dealer - they should supply you with the radio code free of charge. If not - and you can't find the radio code in any documentation, consider buying a code from Ebay.

It's quite easy to enter a radio code. Here's a link to show you how to do it:

well you can get a used manual on ebay for a few bucks. for your anti-theft code problem the easiest and fastest way is to go to a local honda dealer. i think they render that service for free.

Bought a delco radio on ebay. installed it. does not work except for clock and flashing red light. No sound from speakers.

may be the incorrect radio for your truck model.. your vehicle may have a factory amp and requires the correct radio to work with it.also may need to be brought to the dealer for a unlock code.. but sounds like you got the wrong radio

If its a vw factory radio, all u need is the serial no.found on the radio casing,eg.VWZ4Z3G...... and any vw dealership should supply you with the code.If the radio remains on safe mode, leave the ignition and radio on for 1 hr until you see the no 1000.Enter the code.

Just got 2002 vw beetle...can't turn safety off radio

There is a radio code, but you may need to go to the VW dealer to get it. First look inside your trunk in the spare tire wheel well to see if there is a sticker there. The radio code is four (4) numbers. If not the dealer will need the serial number of the radio along with your VIN number. Most dealers provide the radio code at no cost when asked.

VW Car Stereo code

To get the radio code you will need to give the v.i.n. # and the info on the back of the radio such as model #, serial #, date of manufacture, to either your local vw dealer ship, or the place or person you bought it from, they could do it for free, but if you look on-line you can find site that will get you the code at a cost. but before you do anything, make sure to go throu all your book/paper work (it could be written in the user manual, or on a piece of paper with some of the other operating instructions), usually it is a 4 or 5 digit number

98 VW Beetle used-no radio code- I have radio & car serial #'s...

I assume you have this unlocked by now, but here's an answer for someone else for the future :-)
if you have the original radio that come with the car, look in the wheel well in the trunk, where the spare tire goes. (yep, you'll need to stand on your head). there is a sticker that will have the 4-digit code on it.
enter that into the radio.
I can't remember off the top of my head which one it is, but either the >> Scan or the am/fm button will be the "enter key"

Radio code stuck in safe mode

I had this same problem when I had to disconnect the radio. If you take it to your local VW dealership they will give you the codes for free. Keep them though for when you have to redo it again. Every car is different.
