Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

1 Answer

PANASONIC VIERA. 42'' TH-42PX60EH Hi. I have the above tv. 42'';. It has recently stopped working! When i go to turn it on, I switch it on at the tv and then press the stand by button. The stanby display flashes quickly as though it is going to start up and then it just flicks off without anything coming up on screen. The red light on the tv then flashes 8 times. Any ideas what might be the problem? Thanks in advance.

Check the 2 main interconnection cables (24pin and 26pin) rear of PDP and Tuner box. Make sure they are firmly connected. (Loose connection of 24pin will cause no power on symptom.)

1.You may have the magnet of a speaker too close to the TV.
2.Turn off other electrical devices in the house one at a time.
3.Faulty cable.

Puzzler.

I would like to know where is the power switch on the panasonic plasma 42" tv hd?My remote isn't working and I need to switch on the tv.It's of 2008

The power switch is located on the lower left side of the display, right near the on indicator light. Check page 13 of the manual from this website. It shows exactly on the picture from that page.http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/TH42PZ85U.PDF

This is a problem with your components. You can have the components replaced with a new set which may be expensive, or live to learn using av3 only with a switch system.

Home cinema/Viera link problem

Turn everything off and disconnect from mains.
Wait a few minutes.
Disconnect HDMI cable.
Turn on TV and DVD.
Connect cable.
If this does not work use a cable of different spec.
I had the same problem and now mine works .
Good luck.
