Question about Visioneer OneTouch 9000 Flatbed Scanner
I have the Visioneer One Touch 9020 model. I think the cable that plugs in connecting the cover when scanning negatives or slides is bad. All I would need is to replace the cover but can't find that part anywhere, unless it's another problem? I recently had to replace the power cord which I used an even older model Visioneer that completely failed. I used the power cord from that scanner 7600. Any sugggests are welcome.

I assume that the light in the lid does not light when trying to scan a negative.
Remove the lid from the scanner, unplug the connecting lead and lift off.
Remove the TWO screws near to the rear edge, holding the scanner plate in place.
GENTLY lift the lid around 15mm (the edge that has just had the screws removed) and GENTLY move backwards.
This will release the lid and it can be removed.
You will see the circuit board that controls the cold cathode lamp.
Check out the continuity of the lead with a meter.
The lamp can be removed as you will see in the photograph for easy replacement.
Refitting is simply a reversal of the above steps.
Hope this helps
