I have a 60" Philips 9P6044 C104 rear projection tv. The color seems to be getting weak and the colors seem to blend together. We think we may need new bulbs, but we dont know how to change them out. Is it...

its actually the collant in the CRts that makes the picture appear dim with colors being faded and hard to focus. You can get the CRT coolant kit at the following link which contains the coolant for all three CRTs and the CD with instructions on how to replace the coolant.

51 magnavox projection tv-color mixing wrong

The are controls on the inside of the tv above the circuit boards for focus and to turn up intensity of the projector lamps (red, green, and blu). If you turn it up too far all three projector lamps kick off. If this happens, power off the set and turn down the lamp that you turned up. Power it back on and slowly turn the projector lamp up until the picture looks OK. You have to take off the panel on back of set to get to the controls.
