1999 mercedes e320 shakes at 45 but smooths out after 55 mph what could be the problem

Could be as simple as tire pressure or a broken belt in the tire. The tires could be out of balance. A wheel bearing could be bad. To check the wheel bearing jack the car up and see if you have any play in the wheel.

Took snow tires off and still sounds like I have them on also have a vibration in the steering wheel?

Steering wheel vibration is often caused by:
  • Out of balance tires
  • Bent wheels
  • Bad wheel or CV bearings
  • Loose suspension parts
"Road noise" is often caused by:
  • Bad wheel bearings or bad CV joints
I suggest checking for all of these.

Fiat 500 problems

Low transmission fluid. Manual gearboxes normally use gear oil, automatics use transmisison fluid. Sill could be a bearing, just not a wheel bearing. Just curious, how can you tell its not a wheel bearing?

My Gilera Nexus 500 developed annoying vibrations, which are particularly prominent at low speeds. Garage man could not find problem. Any idea what is causing them and how to fix them?

It could be a wheel balance problem, engine misbalance due to poor firing on one or more cylinders or a wheel bearing. Place the bike on a paddock stand to check for wheel balance and wheel bearing errors.
