Question about Kenmore 51lb. Clear Ice Maker
When turning on the ice maker water continue to flow into the water compartment however it runs out the bottom. I do not remember a cap being underneath to contain the water? No help from Sears. I thought the mere view of the schematic will tell me immediately. Thanks Leo
If you are saying that the icemaker is filling with too much water and spilling water into the freezer then probably yout icemaker module is bad, Also make sure there is no ice inthe fill cup of the icemaker.

There is supposed to be a cap or plug , at the bottom of the water bucket , to hold water for the recirculating pump . There is no cap at the bottom of the ice bin .
