Kenmore progressive upright (direct drive)

Hi there,

First of all you look for a reset button on the motor and press it in with cleaner plugged in and turned on, push the little reset button on the side of the lower base of vacuum. Remember that the brush will not turn in the upright
position. if this will not works then most probably the beater bar belt is broken. Take the cover off the beater bar to check it.
