My memorex flash drive lights up briefly then stops.

If the USB drive isn't showing up in my computer, you have one of three problems. One, the driver is messed up. Try the drive on a different computer, if it works there the driver is messed up on your computer, we can fix that. Two the circuit board in the USB drive is corrupted/damaged and you need to have the drive transfered to a new enclosure, normally simple but as this is a 1" Hard drive you may need a specialty shop to do the work. Three, the drive itself is damaged, you will definitely need help from a pro trying to recover the data assuming it's worth the expense.

Try the drive on a different computer and report back with the results, if it works there I'll step you through repairing the driver issue, if it doesn't work there let me know and if you need the data off the drive and require a pro reply back with your Country, State and City, I'll pass along a recommendation or two.
