This is a fuser error, the fuser replacement for this machine is best done by a technician as there is moderate disassembly involved..

Your local canon warranty agent will be a good place to start.

This same printer engine is used in a few HP printers and multifunctions and the fuser is available from HP as well. Though HP are usually slightly dearer.

I am working with a canon imageclass d320. I believe there is a problem with the fuser and am wondering how i can gain access to the fuser? There is nothing in the manual about the fuser either.

Hello,
from the left side of machine there are door, when You open them you will have access to fusing unit, but only to the paper exit section.

To dismantle the machine you need to strip all the plastics and much more...

E000 is a fuser error code, you'll need a professional help to replace the fuser! Sorry, no easy fix for this one.

Check the fuser assembly (the "hot" part where the paper exits the machine). Replace as needed.

Bon Chance!

Canon D880 fuser

With an offset #2 phillips screwdriver and some patience you can do this- we have been fixing PLENTY of fusers on the imageclass series-you can get the fuser out thru the exit side of the copier.
1. UNPLUG COPIER , pull platen to left with grey lever
2.remove one screw for upper plastic cover cover pulls down and out
3.remove 2 screws on lower exit cover this comes up and out
4.remove small plastic cover on left side of exit assembly as you face end of copier.
5.pull back black plastic sheet to expose 3 connectors one plugs into circuit board two plug into heater or fuser assembly. unplug these
6.with your offset driver remove 3 screws holding fuser to frame of copier -these will be pointing up.
7. lift fuser up and carefully work out of copier.
check for stuck papers or damaged fuser film sleeve.
To reseat fuser and replace panels go slow and easy the panels fit back in kinda funky it takes a bit of tinkering.
We do not turn the copier upside down to remove the fuser and have replaced about 20 of the fusers or installed a new fuser sleeve.
Good luck and ask all ya want if more assistance is required.

Paper wrapped around fuser roller

http://www.precisionroller.com/fuser-assemblies---units-for-canon-imageclass-d780/products.html

im not 100% familiar with this printer but iv replaced ALOT of parts on ALOT of different types of laser printers(color and mono) the fuser invariably will come out either the left or the right side, last place would be the middle. either way they are always fairly easy to get to being they are the second most common part replaced in a laser printer. Tipicly located right by the toner in the paper path. this should be easy to find.. IF you still need help finding it send some pictures with either side taken off or the "hood" up. and ill point it out to you. BE CAREFUL OF the contra wire. it will zap you.. even if the printer is unpluged.

System error

Go to this link: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=SupportDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=239&modelid=10561 In the "please enter your question" (gray bar area) type in E000. It will give you three options for resetting the machine. If these don't solve it, you'll need to replace the fuser (fixing) assembly.
