It should also indicate which key to press to get into system configuration (usually Del, F1, or F2). Go through the settings and find "Shadow System BIOS" or something similar and set it to disabled.

BIOS Shadowing copies the system bios from ROM to RAM when the system starts, and is un-necessary in modern computers.

Hi

you could try to press F8 on startup eg press power key then press F8 holding down for a few seconds and hopefully it will take you into some repair options

i would try the last known good configuration option to start with
then windows will restart and try to repair it back to when it was good

and if that dont work try the safe mode/system restore

hope you get it sorted

many thanks

My laptop shows me that the system Bios shadowed & video bios shadowed. And It saying ( entring Setup ...) but nothing happing and it stying like that. please help me

It is usually recomended that shadowing is disabled in the BIOs, so go to the setup Bios menu and select the default settings, press F10 and return.
Re boot and that should be that.

There is a shadow on the left side of the screen of my 1720 inspiron monitor which makes it hard to view

Please check if you see the shadow in BIOS. To go to BIOS, restart your system and start tapping the F2 keys. If you see the shadow in BIOS, then you can contact Dell to get your LCD replaced if your system is still under warranty .

Since it is a Toshiba Tecra if you are not worried about losing data on the laptop you can try turning on the laptop and start pressing the zero key. It should give you the option to restore your laptop if you haven't deleted the restore partition on the laptop.
