I believe that once you lift and open the drain cap you can grab it with a cloth and spin it off counter clockwise.

Run cycle is almost three hours on my 6 or 7 year old machine and it's not always cleaning very well. Any suggestions?

First try cleaning out the machine with a gallon of vinegar run through the wash cycle several times. Turn off the water. If you have a manual dial set machine, try to set your machine to come on, at the longest cycle, then add the gallon of vinegar. Stop it before it drains out and reset it to the longest wash cycle again. After the third time you try this, turn the water back on and let it finish the cycle. Alternatively, use a product called Lemi-shine to wash the tub and wash arms out. It may take 2 packages. In the future add 1/4 cup of vinegar to the wash cycle to keep it clean. Secondly, check the float and make sure it is not coated with gunk. Remove it and scrub it out with a strong detergent and hot water. Check to make sure the drain is not blocked in the bottom. To do this, remove the lower tray and put it aside. Then remove the flat plate looking cover ( check ofr a knob that might be screwed down to keep it in place, and remove that.Sometims they screw in reverse.) and look for hidden objects that might be blocking the drain. You can use an old toothbrush to scrub into the corners and around the drain screen to get out the gunk. Then replace everything and give it a run.

I can not close my bath tub drain. the plunger is all internal and wont come out either. I tried a coat hanger to push it down. no go.

on most tubs the stopper is made to come out! does the stopper have 2 screws at the stopper lever. if it does just remove these screws and pull the stopper out slowly. when putting in a new one. have the same length as the old one, then slide it back in the drain fairly slow until it goes all the way in. replace screws and try it! good-day!

I have a Kohler Overflow tub with a faceplate covering the screws that would allow me to get to the trip lever...the lever must be stuck "down" because the tub won't drain. How do I take off...

Hey, I think I've got the solution for your situation.

First off, you want to get a caulk remover and apply that on all the caulking between the tub and the faceplate. Let this soak for 20 minutes. Then you will want to take a utility knife to score around the edges of the faceplate between the faceplate and the tub. Be careful not to scratch the tub! When the caulking has been completely cut through all the way around the face plate, take putty knife and pry the faceplate from the side of the tub. Check out the lever, or see if it is just gunk build up on the filter. Either way I hope this helps, and good luck!

Drain plug does'nt sta open, how to open the knob

There is gunk built up on the inside...
Take the two screws out of the over flow and then pull the whole linkage up and out through the overflow...
Clean it up and reinstall. If it is broken, you may need to replace it.

Bike will start but will not respond to throttle. It has been sitting for more than a year with old gas in the system.

you will need to drain all of the old gas. remove carb to clean. remove float bowl. remove jets and clean with spray carb cleaner. use a bit of thin copper wire to probe the jets. count the number of turns to close mixture screw and jot the amount down somewhere. remove mixture screw and spring and clean the bore with carb cleaner. spray into float needle hole to flush out gunk through the top. reassemble, reset mixture screw , fill tank with new gas.

Slow tub drain

I am not completly sure about the kohler, but i think that you have a toe tap drajn. You should be able to un-screw it counter clockwise.IF you can get it un-screwed look at the bottom of the toe tap. There will be a screw or a plastic nut.I beleave that you loosen it to raise the drain I hope my information is correct,I will certanly do some research on your drain.

Hello, how I remove the water from my whirlpool jacuzzi bath Balboa Z112 spa so I can clean it

hook up a garden hose to a faucet. Put the other end in your spa. Then turn on the faucetuntil water comes out the spa end of hose. Make sure the end in the spa is weighted down so it doesn't come out. Then remove the hose from the faucet and keeping it lower than the spa lay the hose where it can drain with causing problems. The water will flow on its own draining the spa. You may want to clean it while its draing so the dirty water will be diluted and drain at thhe same time. Make sure the water is not drained out around any electrical AND!!! NO DIVING!!!! If you lose the prime, just fill the hose again with the faucet. Good luck
