How do I get immediate assistance? Should i keep this website open>

    I thought I had a paper jam in my Imageclass880D canon printer however i do not see any paper inside the usual spots..now there is a little squeek and my copies come out covered in small grey spots.. can you advise what i can do to fix this problem please?

    Good Morning, I am working on my business and the printer is behind me. Sorry if I transposed but I did not take the time to look directly at the printer. i know the name and numbers and figured you would understand what model if I used the numbers and letter.



    The printer is relatively NEW, so my scanner and glass are clean. The problem is small splashes of toner are covering the entire page when it comes out of the printer. These are the spots im referring to. I hope you can help me. Thank you, Donna

    Good Morning, My Imageclass D880 is relatively new and was working perfectly until yesterday when I printed a label and the paper jammed. I removed all I could see opening inside panels and toner panel but think there is still something stuck inside because I hear a slight squeeking sound and the toner seems to be splattered over all the copies that come out. Small grey spots of toner splatter covering the entire sheet. Please let me know if you can help me with this problem Thank you!! Donna

    Please excuse me but I am new to this website and do not really know how it works. When they say 327 experts are waiting to assist i expect that there is quick help. I have been here 2 days with a couple of communications but that is all. Are there really experts sitting waiting to help or do I have to wait for them to come online? What ever this process seems to be successful with the number of people you have helped. Where am I supposed to see this response? I never get emails from fixya experts with answers. thx

    Its intresting how you wrote the product name completely backwards as "Imageclass 880D canon" while it actually is a Canon ImageClass D880.

    Issue:
    Copies have black spot(s).





    Solution:
    Cleaning the scanning area-IC D/PC 1000 series























    Cleaning the Scanning Area
    Wipe
    the scanning area (shaded area) with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth
    moistened with water, then wipe with a clean, soft, dry, lint-free
    cloth.

There's a problem with the printhead


Try this approach to fix the printhead problem:1. Open the printer cover > remove the ink tanks > open the printhead latch > remove the printhead > close the printhead latch.2. Visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark Pro700 Series Firmware Update.3. After the update is successful, open the printer cover > open the printhead latch > re-install the printhead > close the printer cover > if no error appears, continue with normal installation steps for cartridges. If error still appears, try to remove and re-insert the printhead firmly.
4. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed.
Should the error persist, it could be that the printhead itself is faulty. If that's the case, please contact Lexmark Technical Support for further assistance.

My Dell Monitor keeps going into sleep mode immediately after booting up.


Make sure your computer's screen resolution is fine for that when you power up the computer press F8 key 5 to 6 time untill you can see safe mode and other menu if you are able to see safe mode then enter in enable vga mode then enter as admnistrator go to control panel->display property ->settings change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply and restart it.Let me know if you need further assistance.Thanks for using FixYa.

How to clear all the history in mozilla?

Try this , hope it wil help you :

Here is a simple extension to disable the "Tools -> Start PrivateBrowsing" menu entry and the "Tools > Clear Recent History" menuentry in Firefox 3.5/6.
The extension hides these menu entries and also disables their shortcutkeys and should prevent Firefox from entering Private Browsing mode.The CSS code (chrome://pbdisable/content/pbdisable.css) in theextension also hides "Tools -> Options-> Privacy -> Automatically start Firefox in a private browsingsession" and the History setting. You can copy that code to userChrome.cssif you want these entries hidden if the extension is disabled. CurrentFirefox versions still process code in userChrome.css if started in Safe_mode.Keep in mind that removing or disabling "Private Browsing" will notmake it impossible to delete private data like visited websites(history) or cache. It is possible to clear the cache via "Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Network" and to clear history in the Library and History sidebar.

Clearing your cookies might help.

If you don't know how to clear cookies:
In most browsers,

Hello and welcome to fixya.

If you are referring to the default home page that shows immediately when you open up internet explorer, firefox or any other browser, you can un-set facebook from your default HomePage very easily like this:

1. Internet Explorer 8 (and earlier versions): Go to Tools-->Internet Options-->Then to the first tab ("General") replace the part that says http://www.facebook.com with any link of your choice (eg: www.google.com or www.bing.com)

2. Firefox (all versions): Go to Tools-->Options-->Then to general tab the Startup section reads "Home Page" to a point and this is set also to http://www.facebook.com. Again, replace this with a link of your own choice (google or bing).

I have my own acer ASPIRE 4745 laptop. my acer crystal eye webcam is not found. what should i do?


Access Camera Assistant Software:


a. On the taskbar double-click the Camera Assistant Software icon , or from the Windows® Start menu, point to All Programs, Camera Assistant Software, and then click Camera Assistant Software. The Camera Assistant Toolbar location briefly displays on the desktop.

b. On the Camera Assistant Toolbar, click the Start Camera button and click on the icons on the software.

If the the above steps are not working, then follow the below steps:


You can reinstall the WebCam drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so:

Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application & Drivers> Contents> Select Acer Crystal Eye and install it


OR


Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/

Select the computer model

Select Operating System

Click Drivers

Select Camera (Crystal Eye) and download it.

Once downloaded install it on your computer.


If still facing the issue, then you may need to perform full system recovery, to do so please follow the steps mentioned below


You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key

& keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.

NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

I cannot log onto Farmville on my laptop, bar fills halfway immediately and then stops. On my PC, since yesterday, I cannot open anything!, e.g. my winery etc


Have you done any updates or installation prior to this issue?

Clear your browser's cache.

For IE, just go to Tool > Internet Options > Browsing History > Click Delete > Check Temporary Internet Files , Cookies and History. Click Delete.

For Mozilla, on your Mozilla browser, press hold down CTRL SHFT then DEL keys. Under TIME RANGE select Everything. Tick all the boxes then click Clear Now.

Then try to access again.
