Subwoofer and center box problems with Logitech X530

Hi all, I've bought the Logitech X530 speakerset, however, there is a problem with the center box and subwoofer. The sounds that are supposed to come from the centerbox can be heard faintly from the subwoofer, and the centerbox makes sounds that the sub should. For example when I should hear voices in a game, I don't really hear them, and when I turn the subwoofer volume way up and listen real good, I can hear the sub producing that sound. I think that's because the subwoofer is made for low tones and can't really handle high ones. I've tried to install the sound drivers, but then theres only more trouble, so I've uninstalled them again. I use the onboard sound card from the Nvidia M2N-E SLI motherboard, and that one should be able to handle it correctly. I have connected all the wires like they should. Does anyone know a possible solution? Thank you.

Re: Subwoofer and center box problems with Logitech X530

Hi Sainty,

this is just a shot in the dark, but have you attempted to play around with your sound driver's configuration? I'm unfamiliar with the newer Nforce stuff, but try looking around in the sound manager Nvidia uses. It sounds like it's been configured to swap speakers. (As an example, I'm using the realtek audio manager on an asus p5k-vm board myself, and the option shows up as "Swap Center/ Subwoofer Output" in my configuration.)

Logitech Z5500 5.1 speaker system Hi, Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this problem? there is no sound coming from the subwoofer or the speakers, but when I connect my mp3 player to the pod...

Try pulling the power from the unit for a few minutes, the reconnect. Make sure you've got the surround settings correct. If that doesn't do it, you've likely popped the amp or the amp's power supply in the sub box.

Center/subwoofer speaker out...mixed

Hi all, I also purchased a logitech x-540 a few days ago and also have the center speaker outputting sound when i test or play the subwoofer. I didn't think this is normal and am now confused. Maybe its a problem with the audio drivers? MB is a ASUS P6T Deluxe V2 with Soundmax drivers. Hopefully someone can help to diagnose/ find a soluytion.

You can't but X530 has a subwoofer controller, if you dont want the sub to work, just put the controller on minimum.

hope it helps

Logitech x530

I have had this a few times with customers. You might want to check if the sound cards front speaker ports are working correctly. If the card is working, the problem might be with your right front speaker, ckech that it is working. You might also want to check the settings in control panel; this has helped me a number of times.

Logitech x530 surround sound speakers sometimes make noise

Hi Nick
As you talk I remember a spair speakers I have a long time ago, brand Creative 5600, has a bad resistor inside the speaker SB, or board, you also check for bad cable at the back or static.
another thing is your volume control, sometimes if you down a few notch you may ...not feel the hit or beep, but check things first.
good luck

Locate the Audio output on your TV and connect it to ur X530 Audio input. Locate ur Audio output (exa. AUX-OUT, MONITOR OUT, ETC..) on ur Home audio then connect it to ur X530 audio input. Goodluck
