Beeps, wont view pictures, wont take pictures

If one card works and the other doesn't then it sounds like you have a defective SD card. Nothing you can do about this but buy another one and toss it.

This is why you should backup all your photos off the camera and onto permanent storage media.

There is a little turning dial on the back. You can set it to video or photo. Look at the symbols.

I dropped my camera when I was turning it on and now the lens wont come out when i press the On Button. Not even view my pictures that i have already there, it just make a beep sound.

The most of cases problems is your camera lense wont come out properly. it's appear to be a electronic problem but it's defenetly a mechanical problem. do do as i say. turn on your camera and after lense came out quickly remove the battery. after that camera lense move out shake it well. shake your camera well. your target should be remove if ther any blocking thing the way your camera lense come out. if this way wont work you have to open your camera and check your mechanism. some time it can be broken lense.

If it still in warranty send it back.
If out of warranty and as this is a 'cheap disposable' item there are no economic repair options -so you could try to dismantle it your self to see what is what and if no joy - replace it.

Try shutting off your flash and see if it still does that. It sounds like you have a problem with your flash not charging correctly. You can try resetting the camera but I doubt if that will help. I would try just shutting the flash off and see if that would help.

I got a hold of the service center and they said to try turning it on with out the memory card in it - do you have additional memory? - any way that was the rubbish they were feeding me. I tried it and obviously it still didn't work. so i have to take it to get repaired - apparently there is no other way. I will let you know what happens.

I was told this is a lens problem. contact 800-706-2534 to get it fixed

Can you play back pictures and is the quality of these ok ? If you can but there is no image in capture mode then the CCD sensor is faulty and needs replacing.

This is a button/firmware problem Canon Customer support will advise on your next move -depending on the age of the camera
