I think your best bet would be to go out to a local bestbuy or office depot and pickup a microsoft optical mouse. Usually they go for 15-20$

I plug in my mouse to my laptop and it wont work, the bottem doesnt even turn red.. when i connect it all it says is usb device not recognized, it worked last night and tonight its not.

Try disconnecting the mouse from the usb port and reboot the unit.
Now, on your touch pad, top left blue led is let showing it is functioning. Press the center button next to the led, which will shut off the internal mouse.
Plug in your mouse to a different USB port and the unit should see the mouse.
If not and the mouse does not light up, replace the mouse.
You may have had a conflict with the internal and external mouse.

Internal mouse

Go to your control page and click on your mouse, then check the settings on it. If you have a default option, select that option. If your mouse has been altered in any way prior to this accidentally or however, the default setting should fix the issue. Also, check for any updates that your mouse driver might need.
