Question about Computers & Internet

Lenovo 200x laptop won't display output from VGA.

I've had to help people around the office with their computers. Two different people have a lenovo 200x laptop and neither of them will display through a projector, or even respond when pressing Fn+F7. Is it something specific with those models?

It worked fine with other Laptops! Its also running through an Extron box with a signal light on it. So I know it wasn't recieving any signal from the laptop. As soon as I hooked another pc to it, the light came on and everything worked fine. It just doesn't seem to respond to Fn+F7. This happened with 2 different 200x models, in 2 different meetings!?!

I would like to connect my lenovo thinkpad t61 to an insignia t.v. both the t.v. & laptop have vga ports. what else would i need to connect the two & what is the process? thanks for your he

The laptop will provide a VGA output and your TV should be able to switch to "Computer" or "VGA" input so all you need is a 15pin VGA lead. Just ensure you get the correct gender.

My lenovo z500 has a screen brightness issue. It very dim and it won't turn up no matter what I do?

Hi, I had this problem also and I don't know why, but Lenovo Ideapad Z500 seems to have some compatibilities issues with a new Intel video card.
So, what you need to do is rolling back the HD intel video card driver to the previous version OR go to the following path: D:\drivers\VGA\Intel\x64\9.17.10 and press Setup to install the old driver again.
That solved my problem. It's a shame that I can't upload this driver in my laptop.

Lenovo 3000 n200 built in camera not working in windows 7

Instructions

1

Identify why you need an HDMI connection from your computer. Because the 2764 does not have an HDMI port, you will need to obtain some sort of adapter to connect to an HDMI device. There are a number of different ways to achieve that connection.
2

Purchase an external USB video card with an HDMI output. These devices have a number of benefits, including the ability to display a different image on the HDMI output than that which is being displayed on the screen. One example of these devices is the Sabrent USB-2011 which can display a 1080p HD signal over its HDMI connector. Other devices will also include support for audio and send it along the HDMI wire with the video signal.
3

Use a DVI-to-HDMI adapter if you have a Lenovo ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video. This device takes the computer's existing video card and displays its signal over DVI. DVI-to-HDMI adapters are both affordable and easy to obtain.
4

Convert the computer's VGA output directly to HDMI. Because VGA is an analog signal and HDMI digital, doing this requires a special piece of hardware such as the StarTech VGA to HDMI converter with audio. Simple VGA to HDMI cables will not work, due to the lack of digital output from the T400's VGA port.

I have lenovo ideapad y510 which i wnna connect to samsung LED tv 6 series with HDMI input. So basically i want a cable which connects laptop video output to HDMI input in TV.

Hi er_gauravpra,

I see you want to use an HDMI connection for your Video from your Lenovo Y510.

I have checked information about the Y510 and it does not have the Technology of HDMI on the Y510 system of Lenovo, Y510 system only have the VGA port where in you can use a VGA cable to get video output to an External Monitor.

Regarding the issue about HDMI I have not seen any Converters yet that can be bought from anywhere to convert VGA to HDMI and I believe that will not be possible since VGA is a lower type of video output than what an HDMI can.

I do apologize but the Y510 systems does not have the HDMI technology to on it.

I hope this clarifies everything about your Query.

Have a nice day

No VGA signal from my Lenovo laptop to the tv

Most notebook computers can be "toggled":

* video-output only to LCD screen
* video-output only to external VGA
* video-output to both device

Be sure that you toggle to select the 2nd or 3rd of the above settings.
