Dvd player won't load

My spectroniq dvd player is getting on "loading" and won't read any dvds. I've tried my cleaning disk but it won't read that either. Any other suggestions?

The DVD player will say loading and then it will say wrong disk. It will say it with all the disks. We've unplugged it and plugged it back in, unscrewed it to see what it was doing. While loading it spins correctly, but then all of a sudden it will stop and start turning the other way before saying wrong disk.

Every disc says Wrong Disc. This is straight from the box. I have not been able to get it to work.

Same problem here. I used it maybe once or twice, and now nothing will load.

I have recently gotten the exact same problem as the rest of you, I called them company they just said to try cleaning the lens and resetting the machine, I did both those and am still getting the same problem. Hopefully somebody has a possible way to fix this. The company just said, "oh well, you should take it to a local repair shop" well, that is probably going to cost just as much as the machine.

Player will not load any dvd's. "LOAD" remains on panel and then "error" displays. I know these are good disks. Unplugged device, multiple different disk's were tried but no change and error still occurs.

Anyone have a phone number for spectroniq? The number I have says I cannot call it from my phone (never heard that one before) and the other one is always busy.

The old expression, "you get what you pay for" I have the same problem...worked for one DVD and then next one it quit. I have a very upset little four year old waiting to watch Rudolph. If anyone has any other advice, sure whould appreciate it!

Well, it just happened to me, too!  One dvd, it's working fine and then the next one it won't load.  Keeps saying "error" then "bad disk."  Funny the disk works on other dvd players, so it has to be this player.    This is for the PD-3000HD player.  I've had it over the warranty period, of course, but it hasn't been used all that much.

Add another piece of junk to the list. My PD-3000HD player just stopped loading like all the others listed here. Purchased about 6 months ago.

SOURCE: My portable dvd player won't load any dvds anymore

lachallep,

The solution for your problem will be needing a little knowledge with electronic repair and hands on.Most common problem for portable DVD player is their 1) Spindle motor the 2) flex cable ( tin ribbon wire connecting the optic lens and the main board)

note: to check if your spindle motor is working good, you must measure it's resistance and it should be around 200ohms.
For the flexcable all you have to do is check the continuity.

cheers.

DVD player not working!

The player uses a laser to check for a DVD. If the laser fails, the player acts like there is no DVD loaded and opens the disc tray so a DVD can be inserted. Sounds like a bad laser.

"Loading" error. RCA DCR69702 DVD can't read discs anymore.

Replace unit - the laser assembly has lost the ability to focus on surface of disk.

The dvd player side doesn't want to read all discs. Some it just flashes the loading and makes a clicking sounds, sometimes it loads up and freezes on dvds, it does this when i try to put in a cleaning...

The clicking is made by the laser head as it moves across the surface of the disk repeteadly trying to pick up the data signal and failing.
If it has used to work then it's clearly a dirt problem. If a cleaning disk has failed to work then the dust has gone all the way to the reading sensor. To clean it you will need top completely dismantle the unit access the optical mechanism, take off the cover and access the reading head - there blow with the can between the lens and the sensor then with a q-tip wipe the surface of the lens.

Screen says loading. Then says (no disc)

There are a lot of reasons why that could happen. Sometimes when a DVD player needs to be cleaned it won't read a disk.Sometimes when you try to play a NTSC disk on a PAL DVD player or visa versa it won't play. Region coding could be another issue. And sometime home burned DVDs won't play in certain players.

After disc is loaded, it says "unknown disc."

Is it a pirated dvd? If it is, do you know some dvd players won't read pirated dvds? And if it isn't, then your dvd player may be dirty (the lens). For that you would have to buy a cleaning disk. You can get one at Radioshack. Or maybe what type of dvd type is it? Is it dvd-r, dvd-rw, or what? Some dvd players have trouble reading dvd-rw sometimes.

Hope this helps.

Disc Error

Try to clean the read laser and the laser pickup, by using a DVD cleaning disk. If this does not work you may have a misaligned laser or pickup.

That may sound like a canned response and it is, however it is a good start. I would also check the format of the video on the DVD-RW, and make sure the DVD player is set to display that format.  Also might I suggest that you try the documented Disk loading instructions. I know that sounds stupid, but I was working on a customers DVD player one day and I downloaded the manual, and I was shocked to find out that I was not following the recommended loading procedure, once I did that all of the disks worked (stupid? yes, but that's how things are now).
As I said try to clean the pick-up and laser, check the format of the DVDs, and then follow the recommended loading instructions.

I hope this helps
Thank you,

Mizuda dvd player wont read dvds

Hi,

A couple of things To try.

1:) The DVD Player May be Region encoded, can only play certain region Dvds. ** Try different Disks**

2:) The Disk May Be Dirty-Scratched ( Towards The Centre )
** Clean The Disk With A Soft Lint-Free Cloth**

3:) The Laser Head may have a speck of dust or debris on it.
** Try a Laser Cleaning CD**

Hope this works For You.
