Hello,
On the front side of the laptop locate the headset and speaker plugs.
The microphone is a small hole near them. Look for any small hole that does not seem to serve any purpose.
Hope it helps.

What do you do if the built in microphone for the Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4840 is not working (not picking up sound)?

SKYPE MICROPHONE PROBLEM
If the person cannot hear you then, either your microphonedriver not installed or not working OR the microphone is not configured inSkype.
To test your microphone then click on Start - All Programs - Accessories -Entertainment - Sound recorder. Then record your voice and then play it back.If this is OK then the microphone need to be configured in Skype.
To configure the microphone - Open Skype - Tools - Options -Audio Settings for the Microphone THEN click on Save.

Do toshiba satellites c655 have a built in mic?

The Toshiba Satellite C655 does not have a built in microphone, but it does have a mono microphone jack.
The following website has microphones that are compatible with the microphone jack. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007675%20600011221&IsNodeId=1&name=3.5mm
You may verify at Toshiba's C655 website. It says "No Webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel". http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops/satellite/C650/C655-S5049
Compared with the L670. It says "Webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel". http://us.toshiba.com/computers/laptops/satellite-pro/L670/L670-EZ1710
I hope this answers your question.
Sincerely, Nathan Hicks

Do my laptop have a mic toshiba satellite c655

There are different models of Toshiba Satellite C655 (about 9 models) and some have webcam and microphone built into LCD bezel (like Satellite C655-S5052 or Satellite C655-S5113) and some don't (like Satellite C655-S5068 and Satellite C655-S5049).

I Accidentally Disabled the Built-in Microphone on my Toshiba Laptop and I Can't Get It To Work Again?

There is a built-in microphone located beside the built-in web cam. however, if the microphone should stop function, or you want to use an external mic, there is a mic input jack beside the eSata/USB port.

Does the toshiba satellite a105-s4547 have a built in mic

Hi, As to my own surprise: no. This laptop doesn't have a built-in microphone, though it does have a microphone connection. You can buy a cheap mic and plug it into the mic jack.
Cheers, Ed

My microphone won't work. I can't hear my voice.Toshiba Satellite

Check which microphone device u have set up. Try changing it around. Also try just speaking closer to the microphone and into the mic. Some mics just are not good.
