You need to furnish the model number of the blower. Have you checked for spark? Have you checked compression? Need more info!

You will need the brand and model number of the carb. If you can not find one in your local area contact southern supply company at 205-833-2525 or email them at

southern.supply@mindspring.com and I feel sure Jason or

someone there can help you.

How do you tell if you are getting spark

to check spark remove spark plug then plug it on the plug wire hold the plug against the metal part of the machine so you can see the gap and look for the spark when you pull it dont have to pull to hard if no spark to confirm hold your finger at the end of the plug and pull easy again if you feel a small bite you got spark dont worry it wont hurt just a little bite to it no biggie if you feel nothing at all then you have no spark for sure.Howie

Homelite UT08550A leaf blower has only been used 3 times and now will not start. Service center said Carburator is probably gummed up. How do you tear down a carburator?

Gummed up after 3 uses? Not hardly. Have u tried fresh fuel? A new engine can poss foul a plug untill it gets broken in. Id try a plug first. I wouldnt recomend going into the carb if your not familliar and comfortable with it. If it is the carb causing the trouble then the best bet would be to replace it

My yard machine 5.0 leaf blower will not start. Plug was changed, gas was changed, and still it will not turn over.

Try taking off the air filter and spray some starting fluid in the carburator it will start if it does and then dies it is the carburator

I am looking for carb kit for my homelite leaf

Does your model #ut-08010, Have a letter after it. Homelite lists 5 or 6 models of that unit. Plus the kit they show is a complete carburetor with gasket. You will have to figure out which carburetor they put on your blower. Either a Walbro or Zama carburetor and it model to figure out which kit it will need. The homelite kit lists for about $67.00 USD.
You can go to www.precisionope.com and look it up under OEM parts.
Hope it helps.
Good Day.

Homelite Bacpacker blower won't crank.

does it try to fire or nothing what i suggest is check the spark arrestor in the muffler it looks like a little screen when you remove it you should be able to see through it if not it needs to be cleaned and the only way that i found that works is to burn it out with a propane torch if thats not the case then let me know
