Question about Acer Extensa 5420-5687 Notebook
My Extenza 5420 was installing Windows updates and advised me not to shut down. The next day it was still installing updates, so I shut it down hoping the updates would instal later. When I start up the lap top will only go to the point where the updates are configuring and then shuts down again. It then tries to reboot itself but only goes to the same point and then keeps cycling over and over again. It won"t allow me to sign on and reach the desktop.
Boot from the windows cd. select repair option. it will ask u" which windows u want to repair?". press 1. then in command prompt press the following commands.
c:/> fix MBR
c:/> fix BOOT
ignore the warnings u get in between when u enter the above commands
