    • 1 Open the file you wish to print. You can open the file directly by right-clicking on "My Computer," navigating to the file and double-clicking on it. You can also open the program by clicking on "Start," choosing "All Programs" and finding the program. Then click "File," choose "Open," and choose the file you wish to open.
    • 2 Click on the "Print Preview" button on the toolbar to see what the finished document will look like when it prints. You can also access "Print Preview" by clicking on the "File" menu and choosing "Print Preview" from the menu. The "Print Preview" window will open and show you exactly what your page will look like on paper.
    • 3 Change the font size, margins and other elements as needed until your document looks the way you want it to. After your document has been adjusted, click on the "Print" button on the toolbar or click on the "File" menu and choose "Print" from the drop-down list.

I just want to be able to enlarge my print size

  • Simply press and hold down the "control" key, while pressing the "plus sign" key. Be sure to keep the "control key" depressed while you press the "plus sign" key. Each repetition will enlarge the text. This can make reading small text SO much easier!
  • To return the text back to its original size (being polite to the next user), simply press, and hold down the "control" key and the "minus sign" key. Each repetition will decrease the text size

  • Log on to your computer and open the document you want to print. Click on the "Print Preview" button on the toolbar.
  • 2 Click on the "File" menu and choose "Print Preview" from the drop-down list if the "Print Preview" button is not available. The "Print Preview" function will show you exactly what the finished print will look like.
  • 3 Click the "Close" button to close the Print Preview window, then highlight the entire document and click on the "Format" menu. Choose "Font" from the drop-down list and change the font.
  • 4 Click the "Print Preview" button again to see the finished print. Continue to adjust the font size until the print looks good

Certain color parts previewed on computer don't print out

Depending on the software you are using to do the preview...( a word processor, photo software ..etc) the preview is just that...it simply lets you look at the document or picture to see that you have formated it correctly in the main program. You should not try to print from the preview...what you can do is exit the preview function and return to the main software. the go to the file menu and exicute the print command and or do the page setup for the picture or document.

Scanned image only prints in black and white

    it's tricky / annoying:

    you have a preview ...
you have some of the (3) images checked
but also you have some of these images selected (blue outline)

    now:
when you select (I don't mean the checking) an image you'll have to set the scanning params
again - or check them ...

if you select an image, and then set the params (like "color"), your scanned image will be in color

    ....
also resolution is the same way ..
especially after crating preview .. it'll be set to 300 Dpi
so after seecting one for scanning - check the resolution too :)

    Empty ms word printout

Hi, You can try: 1. go to Start, Printer and Faxes, right click on your 3745, click on Properties, Printing Preference; 2. Check to see if you have any Advanced tab or button; 3. Check if you can set the printer to text only; 4. Check if you can set the printer to use black ink only. 5. In MS Word, verify through the use of Print Preview that your document is as you would want to be printed; 6. In some instances you may have to set manually text color in MS Word. While your document is open, click Ctrl + A to select all, then choose font color to "Black". Alternately, in your MS Word, you can click on "Format", "Font", "Font Color" set to "Black" rather than "Automatic" and set this as the "Default" setting. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turned up or should you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
