Try printing a full colour test chart Get the following and print them out, compare to what you see on screen. This will tell you which carts are working or not working.

You might need to run a cleaning cart through the printer. Are you using compatible carts or originals and if they are compatibles have you used them before? You may also have a problem with the print head.

It seems that your printer cartridge is not proper for for MP600 or cartridge is not properly installed or it's installed to wrong position. Check manual the right positions for each cartridge and right codes for each cartridge. You can load manuals here http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/printers_multifunction/pixma_mp_series/pixma_mp600#BrochuresAndManuals

My MP600 will not print documents. It will print a scanned document i.e. scan the doc and print from the image. It will print a webpage. It will print a copy it makes but it is blue instead of black....

If colours are faded I would recommend running several cleaning/deep cleaning cycles to try and pull through the colours. It is difficult to say without seeing the print quality, but it sounds like an issue with a partially blocked printhead within the printer.
The printing in blue would suggest to me that one of the blacks in your printer is blocked. Were all 5 colours present on the nozzle check?

CANON PIXMA MP520 NOT PRINTING BLUE

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

Pixma IP5000 printing pink

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

if you remove the transformer block ( the one in witch you insert the power cord... is secured with two plastic restrains ) you may see a small electric drive... engine name it as you wish with two blue wires ..
those two blue wires are the positive power coupeling on it ... if they are removed you get error 6000. The removal of the two blue wires may occur when moving the printer or if you remove the transformer block from the printer. put them back to the electric engine, and you will resolve the canon mp600 6000 error and possible other serie two ( the error is standard for most MP series and even IP). Be shure to unwind the blue wires around the small ring or else the wires will pop off the couppeling when you put the transformer block back. It is a pain in the back to recoupple the blue wires into the elctric drive but it can be donr without opening the whole printer(witch is a huge pain in youre back side).
I reffer to the transformer block as the ac\dc block witch feeds power to the printer. For any problems adress me at alexmi88@yahoo.com

i would try and do a deep clean. and then proform a nozzel check and see if you can anything from there. if not you might want to try to blow through the inks with the head and see if any ink comes out the bottom of the head but it can get messy if you dont do it right.

It sounds like it just needs a good purge, is it all colours or just 1!?

this should make sure scanner work.. but if it still doesnt work then go back to the device manager and check if there are any hradwares with a yellow question mark beside them.if there is then right click on them and click update driver.
if that does not solve the problem try reinstalling the CD or go to the canon MP00 web page (google it) to dowmload the printer/scanner drivers. and repeat everything until it works or until you give up =). hope it all works out bye!

Enter the validation code in the middle/bottom of the page and click on download file. It should start automatically. Hope this helps!
