Question about Lexmark Optra E310 Laser Printer
It grabs several sheets of paper, sometimes a stack of paper to be drawn down through the printer.
This is most likely a paper problem, the paper is basically sticking to the next sheet, Ensure the paper is stored in a cool dry place helps, dont load the paper with more than what you need for a couple of days and when loading the paper flick the pages to allow air between the pages
If this dosnt work try a different brand of paper

I have several Lexmark Optra 312 printers and the issue of multiple sheet feed(s) appears to be a common concern.. In addition to the recommendations already made above, I have had good success by allowing the paper supply pack droop over the rear portion of the printer cover instead of raising the rear printer paper table extension. Curving the paper pack over the rear cover adds additional friction to the the leading sheet of the paper pack, which in turn, tends to keep the multi sheet feed problem to a minimum.

Tips for a great answer:
Step 1 Clear any loose paper from the paper tray. This will help you locate the jam. You will find it either in front, near the paper tray, or in the rear.
Step 2 To clear a paper jam near the paper tray, grip the paper and pull it firmly but gently from the printer. If you find a stack of papers jammed, grab from the middle of the stack and pull.
Step 3 For a rear jam, remove the back of the printer. When you find a free edge on the paper, grip it firmly and pull it out.
Step 4 Replace the back cover. Press the "Resume" button or turn off the printer, and then turn it back on. Your settings should reset.
Step 5 Try printing another document
