RE-INSTALLATION PROBLEM I have a HP G6000 with AMD processor. At first, i my DVD drive does not detect on my computer screen later the Blue Screen error occured. I later discovered fromthe bios setup that the HDD is not detecting, tried it on another laptop then discovered its bad. I got a new HDD,now i can't re-install any OS on the system with either its own DVD drive or external DVD drive. Could it be from my AMD processor.

It doesn't seem to be cpu. have you tried to update bios? download usb bootable latest version of your bios and give it a shoot. if it does not help, try use external cd drive to reinstall os. press f9 at startup and choose usb hard drive. oh, one more thing-this may be memory corrupt, but not likely. test it in the bios.

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your "((motherboard to your hard drive))" make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error hope this helps

Blue screen error

Yes. This means your hard drive has crashed. Return it quickly and get another one. Luckily for you this didn't happen later when a lot of precious files would have been lost.
