Same situation that others have experienced. I contact Vizio tech support. They said the back lights have gone out and it is basically unrepairable because so costly to repair. Great!! We've only had this TV 2.5 years! And we can't take it back to Costco where we purchased it because the warranty was over at 2 years. There has to be a way to fix this without taking out a second mortgage!

Have you talked to Costco? I have the exact same TV with the exact same problem which I purchased in January 2007. I called Costco who contacted a local repair service. After a home visit to diagnose the problem, then a 5 day wait for parts, my TV was working again 1 week after contacting Costco. I did have the original receipt.
