The problem is in the pump not the arms. must take the top of the pump off to cleen out the glass. if you try to run it without getting the glass out it will distroy the pump blades and it will need to be replaced.

Hello, Im trying to diagnose poor cleaning of glasses in the top rack of my Fridigaire FDB751SCB0. everything seems to work fine but while testing I noticed the upper arm isn't spinning. the lower arm...

Hello; first thing to check, which you don't mention, is which side of the glasses aren't coming clean; the outside, which would be caused by the TOP spray not working properly, or the INSIDE, which would be caused by the spray BELOW the top rack not working. The most common problem causing a spray arm not to turn, and/or poor cleaning, is debris blocking some or all of the spray holes in the arm. Best and easiest way to check them is to remove them; they usually are easily removed with a large wing nut or screw in the center. (Don't drop the screw, if you do it will ALWAYS find it's way to the hardest spot to retrieve it from in the whole dishwasher!)
Once you have the spray arm(s) out (this might be a good time to clean them all) you may notice pieces of debris partially protruding from the spray holes. DON'T pull them out; use something to push them back inside the spray arm. Pulling them out can enlarge and mis-shape the spray holes.
Dislodge any pieces inside the arm by firmly rapping it against a firm but padded object, and shake the debris out over the sink, catching it in a paper towel so it won't go down the drain. Be careful, as broken glass is often inside the spray arms, picked off the bottom of the tub and fed through the pump to the sprays.
Once you don't get any rattling inside after several "raps" on the padded object, the arm should be clean.
Cleaning these spray arms periodically is a good idea even before you have trouble.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

A glass broke and pieces of glass fell inside of the washer strainer module. How do you remove this screw that sits on top so that the glass inside can be vacuumed out. The screw moves but does not...

Hello, Welcome to FixYa.

Based on your description, I think this should help and be just what you need to get to that piece of glass and remove the spray arm so you do not have to call a technician...and maybe more.

You`ll need to follow these steps to access and clean it. (The key with the spray arm nut is to hold it while you spin the spray arm, not the nut...provided it is a KUDS02 series dishwasher as stated).

1 ) Remove the turbo wash tube if applicable to your model, it pulls off, i.e.

2 ) Spray arm removal. hold the center nut and spin the arm.
3 ) Now you can remove the upper spray arm supply tub or referred to sometimes as "rear feed cap".
a ) lift to depress the rear tab, i.e.
b ) Then twist the feeder to the right ( clockwise ), i.e.
4 ) Now you can remove the center nut...

Then remove the four # 20 torx head screws holding the filter in place, and lift the filter out. This should allow you to remove the broken glass.

If my explanation is not clear enough, here`s a link which provides a pretty good video of how to do this, these guys aren`t pro`s but the "how to" video is pretty thorough nonetheless.

Let me know how you make out, please keep me informed if you need further assistance or anything is unclear.

Thank you for choosing FixYa and good luck.

The stop button on my record player doesn't stop the record from spinning and the needle arm won't play through an entire record

hey there Jack, I have the exact same turntable and had the exact same problem. It's a pretty simple fix.

The control arm for the stop button, more then likely, got pushed a bit too far back.

Now bare with me, because I don't know the names of the mechanisms, but I'll try to make it sound simple.

First you're going to take off plate and belt, because you're going to be taking off the bottom cover of your turntable. If you don't remove the plate & belt, when you flip over the turntable, it's all going to fall and you could damage your belt.

Next your going to flip over the turntable and remove the screws that are holding on the bottom cover on. I think there are 5 of them.

Now that the cover is off, look at where the play and stop buttons are. Follow the thin metal arms that are connected to them. They should end at a white plastic piece (sorry, I don't know the name of it). Now check if the stop arm is hooked behind it or if it's pressed against the front of it. The stop arm should be RESTING ON THE FRONT of the white plastic piece.

If it's hooked behind the plastic piece, carefully pull it out and then place it against the front of the white plastic piece and you should be good to go.

Top spray arms dont work.

Most likely you have debris blocking the holes in the spray arms. The spray arms can be removed and cleaned out in your sink. (blocked holes in the lower spray arm arm almost impossible to clean out)

I have a two speed automatic whirlpool washing machine

It sounds like your motor coupling has broken. Normally the older the machine gets, the more wear and tear on the coupling. Order the coupling as per the model and gain access to the main motor. remove both clips holding motor then pull off broken pieces then install new kit.(easy to see how). Reinstall motor and retry. Done.

My maytag dishwasher is not cleaning properly. when the cycle is finished i find that the detergent did not disolve and rinse away. Instead I find it in a hard crusted lump on the bottom of the machine....

This means the bottom cleaning arm is not spinning. Most arms are removable, one large nut or some plastic fingers or a release. Remove the arm and clean it out. There is likely food, glass or objects stuck in the arm. Broken glass can be really stuck! Watch your fingers!

Middle arm of dishwasher not spinning

I'm the one that reported the same problem in November as "Guest". I fixed mine finally. I removed the middle arm again and noticed that the holes that spray a jet ot water causing the arm to turn aren't the ones on top. On the bottom of the arm there's a small hole at each end. I looked and one of the holes had a small piece of crud in it. I had to use the tip of an ice pick to dislodge it back into the arm. I then ran water into the arm several times hoping to get the item completely removed. I never did see anything come out but I then ran water through the arm holding it so the water could run out one end. The piece didn't show up in the hole again so I tried washing it to the other end. It still didn't show up so I guess it must have washed out the first time. It's been 3 or 4 weeks now and the arm is still functioning perfectly. Hard to believe that one little piece of trash can cause so much irritation. Good luck on this being the problem for others.

Shaft not turning

Unfortunately Regal ware no longer supply spare parts for there breadmakers, because their motto about dedication obviously didn't apply to bread machines. I think youe best bet would be to take the pan and machine to a local machine shop and see if they could make you one up - if they could it shouldn't be too expensive. Hope this helps :)
