If the laptop is not working that would not normally be an issue.

If you are selling the laptop then it may be prudent to wipe the hard drive anyway.

There are a number of ways to do this.

You could remove the drive and using one of the cheap enclosures available connect it to a PC and wipe it that way.
If you know what you are doing you could just remove the components of the program that way too and leave the drive intact.

If you can boot the laptop from either a floppy or CD then there are programs about that will again allow you to format the drive.

You will have to have the laptop on. Otherwise you will have to install in new one and use the registration number you got which should be in an email or the box it came in, or a readme file on the broken computer. You can also request a new license from adobe by request
