Viking VDSC3656 oven relay (PM010129) failed again

Viking VDSC3656 oven relay (PM010129) failed for the third time in three years... we were told to permanently disconnect the maxi-broil as this was causing excessive draw during pre-heat. Is this a design flaw that hasn't been addressed? Are we forced to do without maxi-broil from now on?

Try to find a relay that has higher contact ratings. Grainger hardware might have one that would fit. It sounds like a design problem and requires a bit of re-engineering to fix it permanently!

Ovens usually lock when it thinks you are running the self-clean process. Unplug for 15 minutes and plug back in, if that fails call in service

I'm looking at a used Viking double wall oven in gas-Viking Vgd0271SS.. Does anyone know anything about it?

This is a high end wall oven. Common break downs are oven ignitors, all ovens fo that though. Life span for an igniter is 5 to 10 years. Viking is rare to have problems..

Jenn air svd46800 oven not working

Good Afternoon,
The control boards in your appliance may have failed. There is a display board, part number 71001799 and relay board part number 12001693. Commonly we see transformers on these relay boards fail with power surges. Luckily, we do test and repair these parts. Remanufacturing these controls will save you the high cost of buying new, and each rebuild will come with a 2 year warranty-- which is three times longer than new. Email me if you have any questions! info@fixyourboard.com

Viking Oven

you may have a couple problems here or just one.

1. Check the incoming gas pressure I believe on this oven it requires 7" of water column to operate.
2. check the output gas pressure at the gas valve it should be around 3.5" water column.

Looks like to me that either your utility company might have restricted the supply pressure or you may have a faulty gas valve or the gas valve might just need adjusted.

Hope this helps you

Viking electric range

There is another fuse or circuit breaker inside the range. House fuse is at least 50 amps which would be way too large for 110 volt things. Your instructions will tell you where it is. Frigidaire used to hide it under one of the burners. I don't know where it is on a Viking.

Viking oven won't turn on

I had same problem (twice) with my Viking dual fuel range. In my case a relay that supplies power to the oven heating elements failed. The convection fan would run. The elements were warm to the touch. If you have a free standing range, it may be that relay (part number PM010026) which is located in the front of the stove. Remove a long narrow stainless steel panel (1 screw each side) located under where the door hinges. You can hear the relay click when you turn up the oven thermostat. That will help you locate the relay.

Note: Viking does not sell parts. You have to find their parts distributor for your part of the country.
