Question about Viking DEDO205 Stainless Steel Electric Double Oven
Viking VDSC3656 oven relay (PM010129) failed for the third time in three years... we were told to permanently disconnect the maxi-broil as this was causing excessive draw during pre-heat. Is this a design flaw that hasn't been addressed? Are we forced to do without maxi-broil from now on?
I have the same problem - I am on my 4th unit and 3 different service people - I am told to keep a spare part - there is no fix - NEVER EVER EVER will buy another Viking Product - I tell all who ask -

Try to find a relay that has higher contact ratings. Grainger hardware might have one that would fit. It sounds like a design problem and requires a bit of re-engineering to fix it permanently!
