If you need to have a carriage return/enter after each bar code scanned, scan the following bar codes (from the Product Reference Guide) in order:
1. <SCAN OPTIONS> (on page 12-9)
2. <DATA> <SUFFIX> (on page 12-10)
3. Enter (on page 12-11)
The barcode is located in the manual at http://support.symbol.com/support/search.do?cmd=displayKC&docType=kc&externalId=6083307apdf&sliceId=&dialogID=27078141&stateId=0%200%2027076163 at the page 45 , the name is "Set Factory Defaults"
You'll never be able to make the appropriate cables - and Motorola (they bought Symbol) no longer publishes schematics for cables. Contact the Motorola helpdesk at 1-800-653-5350
A slow continuous flashing LED on the LS9208 indicates that the LS9208 has been put into “programming mode” and is ready to scan programming bar codes. Once the LS9208 is correctly programmed, the LED should stop flashing and remain on, indicating that the scanner is ready for use.
A fast, continuously flashing LED on the LS9208 indicates an internal problem. When the LED is in this state, the LS9208 laser is also shut off for regulatory reasons.
We support these for some big retailers. When they call with that issue 99/100 it's reseat the cable from the base of the scanner (or the system if accesible), no re-programming).
