This crib has had issues and the company no longer supports it. I searched high and low to no avail. I would recommend buying a different crib for the safety of your baby. Apparently, that model has had problems with the very thing you have, the side rail can release and fall when the baby stands nest to it and shakes it.
You may be able to try and take it apart and fix it yourself, that's about all you can do.

The service center has stopped selling this part.and other on-line sites providing this types of part are not exactly compatible to the part which you actually require.so it weill be of no use to you.many users facing this problem apply this instructions.instead of ordering a near to compatible part and getting your baby in risk its advisable.that you call a near by carpenter and ask him to make this same part of original sak wood.the sak wood is very strong wood and effective.it lasts FOR YEARS AND YEARS WITH OUT GETTING CRACKED.BESIDE THAT sak WOOD FOR SUPPORT YOU CAN get the metal rails fitted.which are easily available in local market.the carpenters are aware of it.once he takes the look of the part.he will be able to make it bit better and stronger then original.get it done.this will help.wish your child a very bright and healthy future.
Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution if helped.thank you for using fixya.

then you will have to get that part made by the small scale industrial company dealing in welding and soldering jobs.they can make single parts.if the proper design is provided.
it will be a non -brekable metal part instead of plastic part.
    this will help.thanks.keep updated.

Ragazzi crib

Good news! A company called Products America carries replacement parts for the Ragazzi cribs. All you have to do is call 800-205-9642 or 800-772-1041 and speak with one of the highly trained customer service reps. They will ask for details and possibly some measurements so you may want to be with your crib when you call, but they should be able to help from there.

Instructions To Convert Jardine Madison Life Time Crib

To convert your crib to a Full Size bed you will need to purchase a set of full size bed rails (hook style for headboard and foot board). You can find this at any discount mattress store, or furniture outlet, it can range in price from $39.99 - $99.99. To install the rails you will see slots with bars on the headboard/footboard, this is where the hooks on the rails slide into. There are no bolts used to secure the rails to the headboard/footboard.

Jardine enterprises does not make a wood rail kit as was shown in some of the earlier ads for the Madison line of convertible cribs, and do not waste your time ordering the rail kit from Babies-R-Us as it is simply a metal rail kit (which you may be able to get cheaper at a local furniture/mattress store).

Use the lower daybed rail between the two front posts for the foot board. Another option for the full-size conversion is to purchase the metal rails (hook style) for a headboard only and not even bother with a foot board.

If you are still unsure of what you need to do for the full-size conversion please feel free to email me at gistecknician@aol.com.

Side rails

I have a similar problem, but a different Simmons crib. I called the company that momof4girls unrecommended and they were VERY helpful, but they were not able to ship me the parts as Simmons discontinued this type of hardware in the early 90's. My crib has a headboard and footboard - the 2 side boards are able to slide up and down on aluminum slats (almost 3 feet long.) The aluminum slats are connected to the headboards with 8 bolts; what I needed to order replacements of are the plastic sliders that allow the sidewalls to go up and down on the aluminum bracket. Not only do they allow it to go up and down, but without them you are not able to assemble the sidewalls to the crib at all. I solved the issue buy purchasing L brackets at Lowes and permanently attaching the sidewalls to the headboard and footboard, but it made it so the sidewalls did not raise or lower. I am ok with that! However, if you do NOT have the aluminum slats, you may be out of luck. The spring for the bed attaches on the aluminum brackets, so even if you were able to bolt the 4 sides together, you still have to figure out a way to attach the spring for the mattress (which connects by sliding a hook into holes on the aluminum bracket... no room for bolts here.) I am rather surprised that the hardware for this crib is plastic and aluminum; the bed is HEAVY and it is very difficult to put together as the aluminum slider is easily bent and the plastic sliders are flimsy. I actually broke the plastic pieces during assembly. No wonder this hardware was discontinued! I called Simmons and asked if they had an "updating' kit... they do not. Good luck!

Missing parts

You should be able to take those pieces out of the bottom ends of the crib rail bother than that I'm not sure I have been looking for the plastic pieces for the top of the rail that you squeeze together to lower the side and I called the company and they said they don't carry any parts for this crib anymore. I wish we could all get these cribs together and switch pieces that we need to make at least some of these cribs work its pretty bad. Oh well I hope this helps you.

Childesign Shelby crib replacement parts

You know I just purchased a Childesigns crib from a garage sale thatI thought had everything needed. When I got home, we found it was missing one top plastic rod. Of course nothing will work without that. I found this webpage that sells a VERY similar product. http://www.productsamerica.com/page65.html. It is not exact, but to be able to use the crib, this was a good option for us. Hope this helps.
