Question about Microsoft Life Cam Vx-5000 Webcam
I have recently installed a VX-5000 to allow participation in an on-line class. For tests in this class I am required to use a headset for voice chat. The VX-5000 default for voice comm. is the built-in camera microphone and my PC speakers. I have two questions:
1. Is there a way to use my headset for voice chat with this camera and NOT the built-in mic and my PC speakers?
2. It seems the VX-5000 software has a settings menu for video and sound that might help me with this, but I can't access it. I open the LifeCam dashboard and go to "LifeCam Settings". The button labeled "Audio/Video Settings" is greyed-out and not click-able. Why is this?
Go to windows setting
Open audio setting
Change microphone resource to the headset
