Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: PLEASE WAIT

The bad capacitor problem was on the earlier power supply boards. The following link is to the solution for this http://www.fixya.com/support/t216825-dvd_recorder_frozen_please_wait_display The later power boards have a voltage regulator problem and the fix for this is at http://www.rbjtech.net/electrical/e85/e85.htm#0 You will notice from the photos that the early and later boards look different so it is easy to see which one you have. I replaced the voltage regulator in my machine and it now works like new.

LOADING LIGHT KEEPS FLAshing

If 'Loading' flashes for more than one minute, try a reset by unplugging from its power source for 10 seconds than plug it back in and turn it on.

More likely this recorder needs to be serviced. You should contact JVC this issue usually qualifies for a free service program, which means JVC will flip the bill on repairing it if it is shipped to JVC's Service factory and their techs determine it qualifies.

JVC DR-MV5S DVD Recorder / VCR Combo Resets During Recording

OK after some research I would say your drive mechinisim is worn out and needs replaced (this is why it flashes reset because the drive needs to spin at a constant proper speed to read/write the disks) I would go to www.jvc.com click customer suport then click find a service center near you and they will tell you the closest place to you to send or take in for repair!
I would not take it to just anyone because JVC carries the origanil parts and they know thier products better then any one else!
I hope my research helps you a great deal!

"please wait"!

Is there not a drawer open/close button? Please wait usually indicated wrong type of disk and it is not being read or faulty laser. Switch it off and switch on then press the drawer release before it starts trying to read.

LG DR-4810 DVD Displays " PLEASE WAIT"

to open the tray during "please wait", remove casing then loosen front panel (clips either side and underneath). Power up to get "please wait", then press small microswitch in bottom right corner of the DVD player unit. Have you tried resetting the unit (turning on and holding the power button for at least 5-10 seconds)? Have you tried unplugging the unit for a longer period of time (24 hours)? get your firmware upgrade through here(sorry its in german, you might be able to get an english of it through the LG site) - http://www.lgupdate.de.ms/ two cd's- bootloader.iso , update.iso Good luck
