Question about Olympus FE-130 Digital Camera
My camera has suddenly started to display a "battery empty" screen and subsequently shuts off whenever I take a picture, despite having just placed brand new batteries into the camera. Can you please recommend what I should do to repair the circuit? Thanks!
This problem is usually found when using rechargable batteries as the voltage is only 1.2v rather than 1.5v fir alkaline. See if you can change the battery type in settings. If not consider using either long life non-rechargable lithium batteries or something else that I do but be careful: my camera used two cells so I put a rechargable lithium in one slit and a dummy cell in the other. The charge now lasts 10x as long as NiMh batts. The extra 0.6 volts doesn\'t bother the camera.
I mentioned be careful because if you put in two of these cells BG mistake you will probably damage your camera.

You may try to set in setup the kind of batteries you are using. Many digital cameras allow you to set the kind of batteries being used. Whether or not this will solve the problem, is yet to be seen.
